An amazing testimony by one who was battered by life and by people who were close to her. God's personal makeup of Michelle had her looking in the right direction even though it was a very bumpy road. However, the journey made Michelle into one of the strongest believers I know. She leaves with us an example to follow and even when life hurts and we can't make any sense of it God has our back.
An honest account of human frailties and divine intervention, a yearning for the Lord and His glory throughout M Kim’s life are my take aways and inspiration.
Praying for the Lord to use this project to draw others to Him! It is no easy task to write an autobiography and a task well done!
I admit, when I first started reading this book I wondered how she came up with the sub-title, "A Journey Towards Joy." Her horrific childhood and life experiences seemed to point to anything but joy. And, yet, the more you read her raw and vulnerable testimony you begin to sense that "joy" is intertwined into the fabric of her life's story. Two very good reasons to read this book: 1) pure inspiration, and 2) if you're going through difficult times, see how the "joy" of the Lord can strengthen your resolve and give you hope.
Michelle's story is captivating. The difficulties she endured in childhood brings the horrific darkness into Jesus's pure light by the end of the book. People who have especially suffered dysfunction in their past will relate to the struggles she endured. Her faith in God through difficult times clearly was the answer and one we are all ultimately in need of.
